How should i get the color out of my hair?

i just got a strip of Paul Mitchell InkWorks hot pink in my hair. my hair is blonde with some highlights, and i've heard maybe the highlights will make the color stay longer. but anyway, i kinda want to get the pink (or at least the majority of it) out. i have to go to a scholarship banquet next week and want to look professional. any suggestions of how i can get the color out without it looking horrible or going to a salon?
