Why did he continue to do something so gross?

I was making out with a guy and he went to go down there but I told him he couldn't because I was on my period. But he just did it anyway? And it was my first day so it wasn't very pleasant. Why the hell didn't he stop and think "Ewww"? Do guys not care about that? I felt gross afterwards.
