How much to replace an alternator?

Hello. The alternator on my 1993 Nissan Alt is busted. A local mechanic here gave me the price of $375 for both the rebuilt part + labor. Is this a fair price? I have no idea what a baseline price for a repair like this should be. This is my first car and I have no car savvy friends. Any enlightenment would be appreciated.
