Bad breath, i think from roof of my mouth?

I suspect it is a kind of ongoing infection that is draining into your mouth (through a fistula) from a defect in your palate. I would definitely go see an oral surgeon (probably one who has experience with cleft palate surgery) and ask them to evaluate you. It is not good for your general health to always be fighting infection...and sometimes these things can "blow up" on turn into a larger, dangerous infection. Take care.
