Just Got New *Finch* Birds... Have Questions!?

I bought birds yesterday and well i bought a nest for them. how long does it take for the birds to go inside their nest? and well i want them to make babies... are female birds picky with the male birds or they don't care? and how long does it take for the birds to get pregnant?
