Dimple Piercings... Need some Info!!!?

I just recently got my dimples pierced I like them although they could be a little higher nad pushed back a bit. but all in all i do lke them. now Its hasnt even been exactly a week yet and i understand it takes a while for the swelling to go down but as I try to feel the back with my tongue all i feel is the tissue inside my cheek I look and all I see is the indentation where the back should be. is this normal or should I go back and have them put a bigger piece of jewelry in?
